Oonamori – Balance & Chaos – IIII

Created at the end of 2024, this work marks a quiet moment within my ongoing exploration of balance, materiality and simplicity. Built from layered acrylic, graphite and textured marks, the composition brings together solid geometric forms and softer organic impressions. The restrained palette and generous negative space draw attention to surface, rhythm and subtle imperfections, inviting the viewer to slow down and discover new details over time. Influenced by Japanese aesthetics and contemporary minimalism, this work reflects my continuing interest in how the simplest forms can evoke stillness, presence and contemplation. Details: Hand-enhanced archival pigment print on Hahnemühle paper, individually finished with gansai, Chinese ink and pastel. Unique piece.
